Barbara graduated with honors from Youngstown State University.  She has a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling and also has a 30-hour Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Counseling.  Barbara is licensed  at the highest level for a counselor and can diagnose and treat mental disorders.  She is also a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Social Worker.

Barbara has worked with children, adolescents  and adults in the following capacity:  juvenile probation officer;  college instructor; and as a counselor - both in-patient and out-patient. She developed, coordinated and supervised a children’s unit in a psychiatric hospital.

Membership affiliations include:  Chi Sigma Iota (National Honor Society for Counselors); American Counseling Association; American Mental Health Counseling Association; Ohio Mental Health Counseling Association; Eastern Ohio Counseling Association (Past President and Treasurer);  and the Chamber of Commerce.
